Parent-only intake: $350
All sessions thereafter: $200
I am not paneled with any insurance companies, but I do have superbills automatically generated on the first of every month that can be submitted to insurance companies for reimbursement. If parent(s) and/or guardian(s) would like to seek reimbursement for services, they should call their insurance company before beginning treatment to ask if the child has out-of-network mental health benefits, if those benefits cover in-person and telehealth sessions with procedure codes 90791, 90837, 90834, 90832, 90846, and 90847 and what portion of payments they will be responsible for. It is the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) responsibility to submit superbills to their insurance company if they are seeking reimbursement.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation via phone call with the child's parent(s) and/or guardian(s) to assess for goodness of fit. If we choose to work together, we will proceed with an intake via telehealth where I conduct a thorough biopsychosocial assessment to help me conceptualize the child's symptoms. Afterwards, the child's parent(s) and/or guardian(s) receive a copy of the treatment plan via the client portal. Then, the work with the child begins.
In the beginning of treatment, I meet with children individually once a week. These appointments are 45 minutes and in-person at my office in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to each appointment, I send a check-in form via the client portal. This is where the child's parent(s) and/or guardian(s) communicate with me about how the child's week went.
Once a month, I also meet with the child's parent(s) and/or guardian(s) via telehealth. These appointments begin with providing an update about what the child is working through in the playroom and gathering an update about how they are doing at home and school. This often leads into modeling and role-playing various techniques that help parent(s) and/or guardian(s) feel more confident responding to and helping the child at home. Per request, these appointments can occur more often than monthly and as my clinical interpretation develops, other modalities may become a part of treatment as well.
You can simply let them know that they are going to come play with me, Mackenzie, in my playroom where there are lots of toys. If they ask why, you can say that sometimes it helps to have special playtime with someone. Depending on the child's age and awareness of their struggles, you may also mention that my job is to help children with their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
